Braintree Electric Light Department (BELD) is a municipal, not-for-profit electric utility and Internet/phone provider, exclusively serving the residents and businesses of Braintree, MA.
As long-time residents know, even in the worst storms the power never goes out for long in Braintree. BELD Electric’s customer-first philosophy drives our Internet group, too.
We answer the phone quickly. We make house calls. We do everything we can to make our customers’ lives a little easier.
And unlike our profit-driven competitors, we reinvest every dollar to improve service and deliver top value. In 2019, we upped our game yet again with the launch of BELD’s Gig Speed Internet — as fast as you can get.
BELD is governed by a Municipal Light Board with members elected by residents. The group meets monthly and meetings are open to the public.
